This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information processed through our website, applications, products, services, when you view or interact with NurseConnect on social media accounts or any social media accounts or content affiliated with us, and when you interact with is as a customer, care recipient, or care provider, or otherwise (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy.

This Privacy Policy applies only to United States residents and is governed by the laws of the United States.

 

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information:

  • Name: Your full name (e.g. first and last name).

  • Email Address: The email address you provided us.

  • Phone Number: Your phone number you’d like to associate with yourself.

  • Physical Address: Your home address to determine where you should be matched with services.

  • Birth Date: For screening and background check purposes. 

  • Survey Responses: Information you provide when participating in surveys, including your answers to survey questions.

  • Social Media: Information related to your social media account and social media activities which may include, but is not limited to, user generated content and interactions with sites and users.

  • Registration Number: Your nursing or other healthcare provider registration number to ensure you are registered to practice and for background screening purposes. 

  • License Number: Your nursing or other healthcare license number to ensure you are registered to practice and for background screening. 

  • Geolocation: Your location which may include state, county, town, or zip code for locating care.

  • Certifications: Any certifications you may have obtained, provided by you, for use on your profile.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To manage and respond to your interactions with us.

  • To conduct screening and background checks.

  • To match care recipients with care providers and for care providers to locate users in need of care, and to otherwise provide the Services. 

  • To build a profile for care providers and care recipients. 

  • To analyze survey responses, social media data and interactions, and other interactions involving our Services for research and improvement of our Services.

  • To communicate with you regarding survey participation, updates, and any customer service inquiries.

  • To comply with legal obligations and regulatory requirements.

 

3. How We Protect Your Information

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We take various reasonable organizational, administrative, and technical measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, please note that no method of transmission or processing over the internet or method of electronic storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We may, however, share your personal information in the following situations:

  • Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform, providing the Services, conducting background checks or screening, conducting surveys, or providing customer service. Nurse Connect Terms of Use

The following terms (the “Terms of Use” or the “Agreement”) constitute an agreement between you and Nurse Connect Inc. (“Nurse Connect,” “we,” or “us”), the operator of Nurseconnectnow.com and any other associated services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Nurse Connect and on/in which these Terms of Use are posted or referenced. For the purposes of these Terms of Use, the “Services” include, without limitation, nurse and patient search and scheduling functionalities managed by Nurse Connect to facilitate the connection and communication between Nurses and patients. As used in this Terms of Use, “you” or “Patient” means any visitor, user, or other person who accesses the Service; whether or not such person registered has a registered Nurse Connect account and “Nurse” means nurses you may connect with while using the Service. 

Platform Purpose

Nurse Connect facilitates communication and connection between Nurses and Patients. We do not provide, supervise, or oversee medical care, nor do we verify or endorse the qualifications, skills, or experience of Nurses listed on our platform. Nurse Connect does not refer or endorse any particular nurses. 

NO MEDICAL ADVICE OR SERVICES

The Nurse Connect platform does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Any interactions or arrangements made between Nurses and Patients are strictly between those parties. Patients should consult with licensed healthcare providers for medical advice and treatment.

Nurse Connect is not a healthcare provider. The Nurse Connect platform does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Any interactions with the Services is for informational, scheduling and/or payment purposes only and as applicable. Your use of the Service is at your own risk and Nurse Connect is not responsible for any reliance on or communication with Nurses or other users of the Service.   

WHILE WE HOPE THE SERVICE IS USEFUL IN YOUR HEALTHCARE JOURNEY, IT IS NOT INTENDED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR, NOR DOES IT REPLACE, PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT. DO NOT USE THE SERVICES FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL NEEDS. 

YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. NOTHING STATED, POSTED, OR AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICE IS INTENDED TO BE, AND MUST NOT BE TAKEN TO BE, THE PRACTICE OF MEDICINE, NURSING, OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL HEALTHCARE ADVICE, OR THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL CARE.

No Employment Relationship

Nurses who use the Service are not employees, agents, or representatives of Nurse Connect. We are not responsible for the actions, omissions, or services provided by Nurses.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHOOSING A NURSE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DETERMINING WHETHER THE APPLICABLE NURSE IS SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS BASED ON SPECIALTY, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATION, LICENSES AND OTHER IMPORTANT FACTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES THAT COULD IMPACT YOUR CARE.

Limitation of Liability & Indemnification 

Nurse Connect is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

  • The actions or omissions of any Nurse or Patient.

  • Any disputes or misunderstandings between Nurses and Patients.

  • Injuries, damages, or losses incurred during interactions between Nurses and Patients.

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY DISPUTE WITH US IS THE CANCELLATION OF YOUR NURSE CONNECT ACCOUNT.

You agree to indemnify and hold Nurse Connect, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or your interactions with other users.

User Responsibilities

Users of the Service are required to create an account with Nurse Connect by providing their name, email, and other verifying documentation as needed and creating a password. Nurse Connect users are responsible for their use of the Services and the security of their email and password as it relates to their Nurse Connect account.  

  • Nurses: Nurses are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate qualifications, an active registration, license number and insurance coverage to provide services. By using the platform, Nurses agree to abide by all applicable laws and professional standards.

  • Patients: Patients are responsible for verifying the suitability and applicability of services provided by Nurses before engaging their services. 

Payment Disclaimer

Nurse Connect does not process or facilitate payments between Nurses and Patients. All payment arrangements must be handled directly between the parties. Nurse Connect is not responsible for any payment disputes that may arise between Nurses and Patients. 

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising between Nurses and Patients must be resolved directly between the parties. Nurse Connect is not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, or involve itself in any way in such disputes.

User Data and Privacy

Your use of the platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. For more information regarding our data processing procedures and your rights with respect to your data, please visit our Privacy Policy. 

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, terminate, and/or deactivate your account and access to the Services at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms of Use or for any other reason deemed necessary, with or without notice.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.

Changes to Terms of Use

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time, with or without notice. Any changes will be posted on our platform, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms of Use.
